In these unprecedented times, we wanted to take a moment to review some of best restaurants in our neighborhood that are opting to remain open by serving amazing food to-go and via delivery. Our hope is that, like us, at least one day a week you can help support one of these much deserving restaurants. If any restaurants have to close their doors for good as a result of the mandatory closures, everybody loses; the employees, the owners, the patrons and the neighborhoods in which they serve.
Brick & Bones is a place we truly hold dear to our heart. With some of the kindest staff on the planet, best chicken around, and one of the most happening places you could ever stumble into, 'Brick' is an all around winner. Heck, Brian used to go there so dang much they put his name on the bar. The restaurant has become a land mark of Deep Ellum, serving some kick ass food, and their community at large.
Traditionally, with limited hours, there was never an option to get their unbelievable fried chicken, whipped up by Chef Rey in the back, delivered straight to your door. If there was ever a positive side of quarantine it is this: NOW YOU CAN!
Take our word for it and get your whole household a 10 piece bucket and some habanero bacon mac. We promise you won't regret it… And, with the temporary ability to deliver cocktails, see if they'll delivery you a Dre's Love Nectar as well. The three together are the bricks (and bones) that the roots of Deep Ellum are built upon.
Everything on the menu is top notch, and their vibe is so cool, once they reopen you will be flocking back for more. Heck, they even have me a koozi on reserve (the one on the right).
If you're a regular there already why not give them some more of your love and get you some chicken; and if you've never been now is a perfect time to step out of your comfort zone, without stepping out of your front door. Order some chicken, share it with family, and stay safe. We'll see you at the bar top soon enough! #dallaswkndr
